* CUEFESSNUANCE Carbon Fiber 58" Professional Pool Cue, 100% Carbon Fiber Shaft, 11.8mm 10 Layered Cue Tip *
I've been playing pool for 60+ years and still play 4-5 times a week at our local Senior Rec Center. I consider myself to be an "intermediate" player. I've used Lucasi maple wood cues for the last 10 years... until about a year ago when I began exploring the world of Carbon Fiber.
The CUEFESSNUANCE Pro Taper cue weighs in at 20.1oz, has a 10-layer pigskin soft tip on a "hydraulic" (above my pay grade) ferrule and stainless steel 3/8 x 8 joints. It assembles well and is a sturdy piece, for sure. I'm disappointed in the "Plain Jane" look considering the price, but it does roll and shoot straight which is the objective. It is listed as a "professional" cue... and I will have to agree based on the fact that the 11.8mm tip is definitely too small for someone of my skill level. My miscue rate goes way up in comparison to using my usual 12.5mm tips. The tip is listed as being "soft", but I believe it to be medium, at the least.
All in all, this is a nice, accurate cue stick for those in advanced skill levels. I'm not fond of its somewhat "blah" appearance, but to each their own, as they say. I'll rate this as a 4-star cue, with fair value on your investment.
